Congratulations to the 250 official selections of the 2019 Seoul Webfest. Consisting of 15 grand prize direct selections from partner festivals, 177 international submissions from 27 countries, 1 co-production, and 58 series from South Korea, this year's selections will be featured at screenings in Seoul, South Korea.
Attending creators, directors, writers, actors and crew, will be introduced at GV screenings in the main hall. Multiple screening rooms will be showing an episode of each series for attendees to view. In less than 3 months, the 5th edition of Seoul Webfest will open to showcase and acknowledge web series submitted from 28 countries as well as the best from South Korea. Submissions have closed and are being reviewed by a panel for selection. During a live broadcast on June 1st at 4 pm KST, the official selections will be announced. HOTEL PARK HABIO Welcome to Hotel Park Habio, the main facility for Seoul Webfest 2018 to be held August 16 - 18! Located in the Songpa-Gu district of Seoul, Hotel Park Habio offers a high-quality stay for its guests and an excellent spot for the various events surrounding the 2018 festival. Seoul WebFest 2018 will hold the Red Carpet Event in the hotel’s main lobby. The screenings and awards ceremony will be held in the hotel’s Main Hall, while panels and other events will take place in two of the hotel’s conferences rooms. One of these conference rooms features a special VR capability. Both offer ample space and a beautiful design to compliment the 2018 festival content and guests. In regard to location, the hotel is only three minutes’ walking distance from Jangji Subway station (Line 8). From Jangji, guests have access to every other station in Seoul through one of the most efficient subway systems in the world. The hotel is located within 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of Garden 5, Garak Market, and the famous Jamsil area, which features the Lotte Tower, the fifth-highest building in the world and the pillar of Lotte World. Hotel Park Habiol offers its own indoor water park and pool, as well as a fitness center and spa for guests to enjoy. Free WiFi is offered throughout the building, and the front desk staff is available twenty-four hours a day to assist patrons. Those staying in any one of the 472 guestrooms will enjoy a flat screen television with cable, on-demand and pay TV options; as well as a safety deposit box; dressing room; complimentary ice water; in-room fridge; and their own private bathroom with complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, and electronic bidet. 2018 Seoul Webfest is now taking submissions for web series from all over the world. Seoul Webfest in South Korea is the very first web series festival in Korea & Northeast Asia and the only web fest in Asia. We showed 124 web series and 5 VR360 Series in 2017. Our goals for 2018 are to expand the festival so it can become a viable provider of quality content on an international scale. Our intention is to create a place that nurtures and cultivates upcoming creators. We invite you to a new paradigm of festival where you can take part in screenings, network parties, a red carpet event, an award show, a FAM tour, and gain access to distributors, filmmakers, writers, producers, funding etc. We had an after-festival outing FAM Tour for 2 Days and 1 Nights in a famous Aiin's World in Bucheon City, all for free!
